Jockey Pumps

A jockey pumps also known as a pressure maintenance pump typically small Vertical Multistage pumps, which its use multiple impellers mounted on a single shaft to produce higher pressures than single impeller centrifugal pumps. It is available with a stainless steel impeller and a heavy-duty cast iron base and metal bracket.   Jockey pumps are normally sized for 1% flow and a 10 to 20 PSi higher pressure of the main fire pump.
